CORFU. Strikers demand more personnel in Health and Education, contracted staff to be made permanent, abolition of flexible working hours, prohibition of first homes being auctioned, abolition of ENFIA.
There is a nationwide strike of civil servants today and teachers' unions were at the ADEDY protest demonstration in Corfu on Thursday morning.
Regional ADEDY President Vaggelis Christodoulos and ELME teachers' union President Achilleas Kapetanios spoke at the demonstration in Annunziata Square.
The basic demands of the strikers include more personnel in Health and Education and greater support for those two sectors, abolition of flexible working hours, prohibition of first homes being auctioned and the abolition of ENFIA.
