Fallen phone booth narrowly misses hitting someone

CORFU. A phone booth suddenly keeled over in Spilia Square.
A Municipal cleaner working in Spilia was lucky not to be hit by a phone booth which fell over right next to him.
Without warning, on a peaceful Sunday morning with nice weather and no strong winds, the phone booth, which has been there for decades, suddenly fell over just half a metre from where the Municipal cleaner was working, according to an eye witness.
As can be seen from the photo posted on social media, the base appears to have been eaten away by rust. A closer examination by the Municipality will perhaps shed light on why it suddenly fell over - but at least nobody was injured.
