Father Giorgios Altuvas new Catholic Archbishop for Corfu, Zakynthos and Cephalonia

"It is with great joy that the Catholic Church for Corfu, Zakynthos and Cephalonia and the Apostolic Vicariate of Thessaloniki announce their new Pastor. The Holy Father Pope Francis, in accordance with the Catholic Church Canon Law, accepted the resignation of Archbishop Ioannis Spiteris due to age and named the Very Reverend Giorgios Altuvas from the Athens Catholic Archbishopric as new Archbishop.

We are confident that his character guarantees success in this important mission and call on God to give him strength to carry out his work. The ordination ceremony for the new Archbishop will be announced shortly."
