CORFU. The Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor listened to the problems that the two communities have.

As part of her series of visits to communities in the Municipality, Mayor Meropi Ydraiou visited Kastellani and Kato Garouna on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th August.
Kato Garouni
The Mayor was updated on everday issues that concern the community - water supply problems - especially in the summer months, roads, parking in the Ai Gordi area and refuse collection.
Ms. Ydraiou was accompanied by Deputy Mayors Yiannis Seremetis and Vassilis Argiros along with the Municipal Councillor for the area Spyros Moraitis.
Kastellani
In Kastellani the Mayor was updated on the community's everyday problems - water supply and cleansing.
Ms. Ydraiou informed local residents that a football pitch and basketball court were going to be built through the 'Philodimos' Programme.
The Mayor was accompanied by the Deputy Mayor for Cleansing Yiannis Seremetis.
