Fire broke broke out in a wooded area in Agios Stefanos near Erimitis this evening and is still spreading due to the strong winds.
Firefighters are attempting to contain it on land and from the air.
According to initial information, the fire has spread through Erimitis from the old naval outpost down to Vromolimni. Two planes and a helicopter were dropping water until sunset.
