Corfu tourism professionals share their concerns with Minister

CORFU. Tourism Minister Haris Theoharis met with Corfu tourism professionals today.
Greek Minister of Tourism Haris Theoharis paid a symbolic visit to Corfu Airport this morning for the opening of the tourist season. He listened to the concerns of representatives from the tourist accommodation, hotel, restaurant and general business sectors.
The concerns of businesses and workers were shared about this unprecedented season and the lack of liquidity in the local market. There was also a long discussion about the health protocols and safety measures. Mr. Theoharis assured them that the Ministry will be there for Corfu and all those involved for any problems that may arise so that they can be resolved quickly and efficiently.
Also present at the meeting were Corfu MP Stefanos Gikas; Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou; GNTO President Angela Gerekou; Regional Council President Nikos Mouzakitis; Deputy Regional Governors Melita Andrioti, Alexandros Alexakis and Kostas Zorbas; Corfu Medical Association President Dimitris Kaloudis and the local ND organisation DEEP was represented by President Yiannis Kontos and Tourism Department Director Stefanos Dimoulis.
