CORFU. The Corfu harbourmaster gave an update on the situation regarding passenger and private vessels.
The harbourmaster was responding to a question from the Corfu Hospital Director.
He went on to say, "As regards the ship 'Galaxy' from Albania, that you can see behind me, we have special instructions. The vessel has a prohibition order from the Health Authority and personnel is not allowed to leave the ship - the Health Authority will decide how to proceed on Monday.
As regards the small vessels that people are concerned about, we have spoken with the Health Authority and have instructions that every vessel must submit a health certificate, which we submit to the Health Authority, who then decide how to proceed. So we are controlling that as much as is possible and we have spoken with Corfu Port Authority and other port management bodies so that we can be clear about what we are doing."
