CORFU. Shtandart is an exact replica of the 1703 frigate built by Peter the Great to defend St. Petersburg.

A wooden frigate from the time of the Russian Tsars docked at Cafe Yiali in Corfu. The Shtandart was open to the public on Saturday before it departs for Valetta in Malta.

The Shtandart is an exact replica of the 1703 frigate built by Peter the Great to defend St. Petersburg. The modern vessel was built in 1999 for educational purposes and constantly steals the show at maritime festivals at European ports.

The ship's crew also has the opportunity to take part in various events and concerts and to stroll through the streets of the ports it visits, meeting with the locals in different countries.

Professional, safe and economically viable, the Frigate Shtandart is crewed by a core of young trainees and takes part in Tall Ship events, Maritime Festivals and visits various Ports as a Russian Ambassador.

Nowadays, anyone can become familiar with this 'living history' vessel and gain a unique experience by becoming a member of Shtandart’s crew. Sailing aboard a real wooden tallship is a fascinating adventure with the atmosphere of the old times.

All crew members actively participate in naval life and sailing the tallship.
