Man, 30, arrested for fire in Alykes car park

CORFU. He was charged with motorcycle theft, attempted car theft, arson and possession of drugs.
A 30-year-old man is alleged to have started the fire in an Alykes car park on Tuesday 18 February, according to the press released issued by the Ionian Islands Regional Police.
He was arrested in Corfu Town the same evening and charged with motorcycle theft, attempted car theft, arson and possession of drugs.
He had stolen a motorcycle in Corfu Town early on Tuesday morning and attempted to steal a car from in front of a car showroom, setting fire to two vehicles and damaging another four.
When he was arrested he was found to be in possession of 30 pills and a small amount of unprocessed cannabis.
The arrested man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
