Vehicle catches fire in Troumpeta and burns out completely
CORFU. Driver uninjured – major Fire Service response with three vehicles on Tuesday morning.
Fire broke out in a vehicle on Tuesday morning, 2/6, on the road between Troumpeta and Horepiskopos.

The vehicle, for reasons that are still unknown, was engulfed in flames while it was in motion on the downhill section of the road. Three Fire Service vehicles, along with the appropriate personnel, rushed immediately to the scene and extinguished the fire before it could spread to nearby vegetation.
Despite the firefighters’ efforts, the vehicle was completely destroyed. Fortunately, the driver reacted calmly, abandoned the burning vehicle in time, and was not in any danger of physical harm.
The exact causes and circumstances under which the fire started are being investigated by the Fire Service’s investigative department.
