Man, 56, arrested in Corfu for fraud of over 300,000 Euros

CORFU. A 56-year-old man was arrested for three cases of fraud totalling 316,000 Euros.
Corfu Police and North Corfu Police arrested a 56-year-old man on Friday 22 November and was charged with the felonies of fraud and issuing uncovered cheques.
Police investigated reports that the man had systematically issued uncovered cheques to businesses in Corfu. The police are continuing their investigations into other cases of fraud in which the arrested man may have been involved.
Anyone who may have been the victim of this type of fraud or has information is requested to contact the police.
The 56-year-old is being interrogated by the police and he will be taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
