A 51-year-old man was arrested after being reported to the police for injuring a pet dog in Benitses on Sunday afternoon by hitting it with a piece of wood. The dog's owner suffered minor injuries to her hand.
The 51-year-old was charged with violating the law regarding stray and tame pet animals.
The investigation is being conducted by Achillion Police Station and the man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
