The Municipal Cleansing Service has been cleaning pedestrian areas around the Municipal Theatre

The Municipal Cleansing Service got to work on the pedestrian areas late on Thursday night. To their surprise - they hadn't seen something like this for a long time - locals saw a cleansing crew working on the pedetrian area around the Municipal Theatre.

This shouldn't, in fact, be something that is considered newsworthy but in Corfu 2019 to see this kind of methodical and organised work from the Municipality could be looked upon as a historic occasion!

Several people commented that they hadn't seen these vehicles and the equipment for such a long time that they thought they were inoperational and had been removed.
