Packages with cannabis sent to Corfu by bus

CORFU. Two men were arrested by Corfu Port Authority.
Two men aged 38 and 34 were arrested yesterday the Corfu Port Authority Regional Drug Squad.
When a ferry boat docked at Corfu New Port the 38-year-old was seen getting onto a Corfu coach and it was discovered that he had sent two unaccompanied packages to be picked up by the 34-year-old.
The 34-year-old was then arrested when he went to the coach station to pick up the packages. One package was found to contain a nylon package with 139g of unprocessed cannabis and the other a nylon package with 395g of unprocessed cannabis.
In a search of the 34-year-old's house members of the Regional Drug Squad along with a team from Corfu Port Authority found and confiscated the following:
΄- a nylon package with 8.2g unprocessed cannabis
- a wooden box with 3.6g unprocessed cannabis
- a grater with traces of cannabis
- a double-barreled shotgun
- 13 buckshot cartridges
- various burglary tools
Corfu Port Authority, which is conducting the investigation, confiscated all the above along with two mobile phones and a van.
