Venetian lantern smashes in Liston

CORFU. Today΄s rainfall was enough to cause one of the traditional Venetian lanterns to break away from the wall and fall on the street below.
Just before 12 noon on Sunday locals heard a crashing sound. The much-photographed lanterns - a 'trademark' of Corfu - are in a dilapidated state just like the other monuments.
Fortunately, nobody was under the lantern at the time...
