Fatal accident with 15-year-old boy in Paxos

GAIOS (PAXOS). Everything happened quickly after a 15-year-old American boy, who was in a speedboat with his family, fell into the sea near Mongonissi, Gaios.
There were high waves due to the north-westerly wind and the boy fell into the water near the propeller where he was fatally injured. His father immediately dived into the water to try and save him but it was too late.
The boy was taken to hospital, where his death was confirmed. Port police from Corfu Port Authority are investigating the accident.
