PAXOS. Fire broke out at Paxos rubbish tip this afternoon.
The Fire Service was called out at 14:20 and four fire engines and 8 firefighters have managed to get the fire partially under control.
It is estimated that there are approximately 1,000 tons of refuse at the site, which haven't been shipped to Corfu for about a year due to the fact that the Temploni facility is completely full.
