Rubbish burning in Sidari all night

CORFU. From early Monday morning firefighters fought to put out the fire that had broken out in a huge pile of rubbish in Sidari.
The fire broke out at 4am in an area where refuse had been dumped temporarily in Sidari. Firefighters from Thinalio and Corfu Town fire stations rushed immediately to the scene but the rubbish continued burning all night and it wasn't until 11:00 that they were able to extinguish it.
Deputy Regional Governor for Corfu, Nikoletta Pandi, is at present at the scene.
