Special traffic regulations in force in Corfu Town for Palm Sunday

Illegally parked vehicles along the procession route will be towed away.

During the procession with the Sacred Relics of Agios Spyridon on Palm Sunday (1st April) at 11am the following traffic regulations will be in force:

- Parking is prohibited along the procession route.

Special attention is drawn to the following – Arseniou (Mourayia), Donzelot, Zavitsianou, Nik. Theotoki, Dimarchou Kolla, Ag. Athanasiou Square (Ionian Parliament), Zambeli, Moustouxidou, Capodistriou, Agon. Iroon Polytechniou and the Old Palace.

- Diversion and regulation of traffic by controllers in the central streets.

- Prohibition of parking will be in force from 6am on 1st April and regulation of traffic will be in complete force from 10am.

Drivers are requested to observe the Highway Code and follow the orders and advice of the traffic police in order to allow the unimpeded movement of the procession.

It should be noted that Highway Code regulations regarding illegal parking and disobedience of special traffic regulations will be strictly enforced and any vehicles parked illegally along the procession route will be towed away.
