Earth Hour
22 Mar 2018 / 10:56

CORFU. The worldwide campaign Earth Hour, organized by WWF, will take place this year on Saturday 24th March between 20:30 and 21:30.

Millions of individuals, organizations, communities and businesses all over the world will symbolically turn off their lights for one hour, sending out a loud message that our planet and its unique biodiversity need to be protected.

In Greece, Earth Hour will be especially dedicated to the sea and its unique sea life as the Mediterranean is especially threatened by climate change.

The Municipality of Corfu, for the 10th year running, is participating in this effort towards the protection of the planet and especially the sea and sea life and would like to invite everyone on the island to do the same by turning off the lights in their house for one hour.
