Temploni landfill: Mayor gives written commitments

CORFU. The document that the Temploni Action Committee requested from the Corfu mayor as a prerequisite for the removal of the landfill blockade is now in their hands.
Following the visit of the mayor to the landfill yesterday and the peaceful (as claimed by all) discussion, the residents requested written commitments before they could agree to a 2-month truce.
Kostas Nikolouzos’ staff worked until late on Sunday night on the contents of the document which was handed to the residents today.
The Action Committee are meeting this evening (Monday) in order to update members on the contents of the document and discuss the removal of the blockade.
