Corfu Environmental Protection Association invites you to a screening of Giorgos Avgeropoulos’ documentary “Delta – The Dirty Business of Oil”. The screening will take place on Monday 28 September at 7 pm in Upper Square, next to the monument commemorating the Union of the Ionian Islands with Greece.
The event is being held as part of the Association’s activities opposing hydrocarbon exploration and extraction in the Ionian Sea, which is expected to begin off the coast of Corfu in April 2027. An information and discussion session on the issue will take place before the screening.
Come and join us to watch an outstanding film and talk about oil, hydrocarbon extraction, and the price paid by places and people! Informing the public is the first step towards mobilising collectively to prevent yet another environmental crime.
The Ionian is not a field for hydrocarbon extraction! We are defending the environment, the country’s natural wealth, the local economy and our children’s future!
