Issues regarding the arrangement of vehicles in Corfu during the Easter events were mainly discussed during the meeting.
Mayor Meropi Ydraiou chaired a meeting at the Old Town Hall this morning to discuss traffic measures for Easter.
Issues regarding the arrangement of vehicles in Corfu during the Easter events were mainly discussed during the meeting. The aim is to serve both the locals and the visitors and to ensure that there will be a smooth flow of traffic during these days.
The Central Corfu Municipality announced that there will be parking spaces available outside the 1st Municipal Cemetery in Garitsa and on Eth. Antistaseos Rd. (Emporiko Kentro). Twenty employees of the Municipality, as well as staff and vehicles of the Civil Protection Service, will help the Traffic Police.
Present at the meeting were representatives of the Police, Traffic Police, Port Authority, Fire Service and Corfu Travel Agents Association, as well as the Deputy Mayors for Technical Works, Civil Protection, Daily Life Issues, Tourism and Culture.
Τhe Corfu Traffic Police will announce all traffic measures for this year within the next few days.
