Collection of foodstuffs and basic necessities in Kanalia for those in need

CORFU. Equal Society΄s Open Day Centre for the Homeless and Community Pharmacy are collecting donations of foodstuffs and basic necessities.
They are asking members of the Corfu public to support their 'Solidarity Basket' project.
The aim of the project is to support our organisation which helps on a daily basis families and individuals with financial difficulties by offering them breakfast, primary healthcare and personal hygiene, vocational guidance and psychosocial support.
On Friday 24 May when shopping at Sklavenitis supermarket on Eth. Lefkimmis-Kanalia Rd between 10:00 and 15:00 you can put packaged foods, healthcare and personal hygiene items and cleaning products in the special basket at the entrance to the supermarket.
Items that can be donated:
- Honey, jam, marmalade, butter
- Coffee (Greek and instant)
- Evaporated milk
- Concentrated juices
- Rusks
- Tsoureki
- Laundry detergent
- Washing-up liquid
- Floor cleaning products
- Shampoo, liquid soap
- Cotton wool
- Toilet paper
- Kitchen paper
- Razors
We would like to invite you all to help our fellow humans in need and support us in our work.
