Strong police presence blocks those protesting against Education Minister

CORFU. Riot police (MAT) with two police vans have cordoned off the hotel on the Garitsa shore road.
The protest march with educators, workers and parents came up against a strong police presence when they got to the hotel where the Deans Summit is taking place with Education Minister Niki Kerameos in attendance.
Those protesting included the teachers' unions SEPE and ELME along with the Workers' Centre, ADEDY (Civil Servants' Union), the Parents' Union and OGE (Hellenic Women's Federation).
The hotel on the Garitsa shore road has been cordoned off by riot police (MAT) with two police vans.
