Silent vigil for the dead at Pentofanero and Annunziata Square

CORFU. "We mourn our dead - We demand the truth"
Arranged at the last minute through social media crowds of people gathered, several with their children, to unite their voices in sorrow and anger.
Similar vigils were held at the same time in Athens, Thessaloniki and a lot of other cities. Some of those there asked to say a few words to encourage people to take action so that what happened at Tempi never happens again.
The vigil at Pentofanero was lit up with dozens of candles - some of them forming the words "Crime - Tempi" - and others held in hands in silence.
Anunziata Square
Others, mainly young people, gathered in Annunziata Square to protest against the criminal conditions that led to the multi-fatality accident.
They then demonstrated in the main streets of the town shouting slogans against those responsible for the tragedy.
