Corfu Airport reopening on Thursday
CORFU. The first arrival from Athens is expected at 08:00.
Flights to and from Corfu Airport resume on Thursday 23 February after the temporary closure to carry out work on the runway.
The airport was temporarily closed from 10 to 24 January and closed again on 8 February.
Flights resume on Thursday and are once more available for booking on the airlines' websites.
Only propeller-drive aircraft
However, Due to the fact that work will be continuing and for other business reasons, until 23 March only propeller-drive aircraft will be used.
The first flights expected from Athens on Thursday morning are Sky Express at 08:00 and Aegean Airlines at 08:30.
The first international arrivals are expected on 26 March, by which time the work on the runway will have been completed and large aircraft will be able to use it.
11 flights are scheduled for 26 March from Bratislava, Brussels, Milan, Barcelona, Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gatwick, Belfast, Heathrow and Munich.
