CORFU. Deputy Mayor Spyridoula Kokkali updated them on North Corfu΄s strategic plan for integrated waste management.
North Corfu Deputy Mayor for Circular Economy, Environment, Social Policy and Public Relations Spyridoula Kokkali met with the leader of the Central Corfu party 'Kerkyra 180 Degrees' Maria Dri and the leader of 'Citizens' Voice for Transparency' Angela Rigga just before the end of 2022.
Ms. Kokkali updated them on recycling activities, the network of Green Spots with four streams and the policy and strategy of North Corfu Municipality regarding this issue.
The Deputy Mayor outlined North Corfu΄s strategic plan for integrated waste management and the impressive progress that has been made since efforts first began.
She stressed the importance of communication and raising public awareness regarding the value of recycling and the results brought about by the integrated campaign and pointed out the importance of the 161 Green Spots.
North Corfu Municipality has adopted a stance with recycling, reuse and environmental protection as a priority along with citizens and public health.
The meeting ended with visits to Green Spots in Acharavi, Loutses and Old Perithia.
