Man arrested for illegal possession of drugs and weapon

CORFU. A man was arrested yesterday evening, 17 November, for illegal possession of drugs and a weapon.
In a search of the man's house conducted by police officers from Achilleion police station and the Crime Prevention and Suppression Unit (OPKE) the following were found:
- 240g unprocessed cannabis
- 500g dried cannabis twigs and leaves
- A shotgun, the licence for which had expired
- 168 shotgun cartridges
The man was questioned at Achilleion police station and charges brought. He was then taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
