Four boats in flames at Marina Gouvia

CORFU. Firefighters have rushed to the scene.
The Fire Department was called out to fires at Marina Gouvia at 16:15.

Five fire engines and 15 firefighters have rushed to the scene. Four boats are on fire and the whole area has been shrouded in black smoke.

The fire is considered to be extremely dangerous as it can pass from one boat to another very easily. Crowds of people have gathered at the marina and the Fire Investigation team is also on the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
From the initial information available it seems that the boats have been completely destroyed. A firefighting boat has also come from Igoumenitsa to assist in the operation.
