CORFU. Power is gradually being restored.
A fire which broke out in a field of tall canes near to the DEI substation in Alepou was quickly brought under control by firefighters, but is thought to have been the cause of a power outage in that part of town since about 14:00 this afternoon.
DEDDIE crews are working to repair the damage and power is gradually being restored. At 16:00, DEDDIE estimated that power had been restored in approximately 90% of the town.
