Voluntary clean-up of Kalafationes paths

CORFU. Sunday 5 June starting at 09:00.
On Sunday 5 June at 09:00 Kalafationes Local Council, Cultural SOciety and the VoluntaryAction Group are organising a voluntary clean-up of the paths in the area for protection and forest fire safety.
The project aims to improve conditions for visitors and to protect it against dangerous weather conditions. It also aims to increase environmental awareness as 5 June is the UN World Environment Day.
The project is supported by the following bodies, who will also be taking part:
- Regional Authority Corfu Department
- Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality
- Corfu Fire Department
- Corfu Trekking and Mountaineering Association
- AKO
The work involves clearing the paths and the rural roads for fire protection.
The meet-up point is at the pines in Kourabie.
