ATHENS. According to EODY, the British tourist who was rushed from Cephalonia to Athens with his companion has chickenpox.
The sample that was tested from the man hospitalised at the Attikon Hospital in Athens tested negative for monkeypox, but positive for varicella Chickenpox.
The test awre carried out at the reference laboratory (Microbiology Laboratory at Thessaloniki Medical School) and the Microbiology Laboratory at Attikon Hospital.
