Autopsy results for man who died in Peroulades

CORFU. Multiple injuries due to a fall from a great height were the cause of death of the 76-year-old man in Drasti, Peroulades.

The autopsy has been completed and confirms the initial assessment by the medical examiner regarding the cause of death of the 76-year-old man who was found without clothes at Cape Drasti, Peroulades on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the medical examiner Yiannis Aivatidis, death occurred on the previous day (Monday 13th) and was caused by serious multiple injuries due to a fall from a great height.

The medical examiner told Enimerosi that foul play or an accident have been ruled out and there is a

likelihood that it was suicide.

The man's body was found by a passing tourist in a spot inaccessible by land. North Corfu Civil Protection service and Paleokastritsa Coastguard immediately went to the scene.

His identity was at first unknown, but was confirmed by his brother the following day.
