CORFU. Members of Corfu Trade Association board met with the local Fraport management and were given a tour of the improved facilities at the airport.
Corfu Trade Association board members met with Corfu Fraport management on Friday according to its press release.
Association members had the opportunity to talk with Corfu Fraport Director and Assistant Director Messrs. Kostouros and Petropoulos and were shown around the airport, which, after the work that has been done, has a completely new appearance.
"Today (8/5) we met with the local Fraport Director Mr. Kostouros and the Assistant Director Mr. Petropoulos.
They showed us round the airport, which, we have to admit, now looks like a European airport at last.
They updated us on the safety and security measures, disinfection, cleansing and the new luggage check equipment. They also mentioned the possible use of health certificates for arriving visitors - a measure which is the responsibility of national and European authorities and will be decided upon soon.
We were impressed by the information that pricing policy and the method of granting right of arrival for aircraft will be determined by designated state mechanisms. We also discussed the expected recommendations from the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises SETE) which will help define the operational details for tourist units.
Fraport expects a reduction in the numbers of arrivals this season but it is too early to assess to what extent."
