Beautiful Perseids meteor shower, will soon light up sky
CORFU. This year they will be visible from 17 July to 24 August.
The Perseids are a spectacular meteor shower that appears every year in August. In 2025, they will be visible from July 17 to August 24, with the peak expected on the night of August 12 to 13.
How to observe them:

Find a dark spot, away from lights and light pollution.

Look toward the northeastern sky (the area of the constellation Perseus).

Lie down and let your eyes adjust to the darkness for 20–30 minutes.

Be patient: Meteors appear randomly – but the wait is worth it!
Best nights for viewing:
Although the peak is on August 12–13, this year the Moon will be nearly full (84%), which may reduce visibility of the fainter meteors. For a better experience, it’s recommended to observe between July 18 and 28, when the sky will be darker.
The Perseids are the most spectacular summer meteor shower – peaking just before August 15 and offering unforgettable moments.
