CORFU. Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July.
Religious celebrations will take place in remembrance of the extraordinary miracle of Saint Spyridon — the healing of the blind man Theodoros — which occurred shortly after the arrival of the Sacred Relics of the Saint in Corfu.
Programme
Saturday, July 12 – 6:45 p.m.
Great Festive Vespers with the Blessing of the Loaves (Artoklasia), followed by a procession of the Holy Icon at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Sunday, July 13 – 7:30 a.m.
Matins with Artoklasia, followed by the Divine Liturgy and a Supplicatory Canon (Paraklesis) to Saint Spyridon.
As every year, a local fair (panygiri) will also be held.
