AHEPA takes children from Orphanage on special weekend outings
CORFU. The tour included the Yellow Submarine in Paleokastritsa and the Pirate Ship at Corfu Town and concluded with a meal offered by the owner of the restaurant "Vrachos".
The AHEPA CORCYRA HJ-34 chapter once again brought joy to the children from Corfu Orphanage. On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September, there was a tour with the Yellow Submarine in Paleokastritsa and the Pirate Ship in Corfu Town. The girls, from MAIDS OF ATHENA, also actively participated in the two-day event.
On Saturday, the chillden with their escorts had the pleasure of enjoying a trip with the Yellow Submarine along the shores and caves of Paleokastritsa, and observing the sea life from the vessel's lower cabin, which is glass-bottomed.
This enjoyable afternoon for the children concluded with a meal hosted by the members of the AHEPA chapter, offered by the owner of the restaurant "Vrachos".
On Sunday afternoon, the children and their escorts had the pleasure of seeing all the major landmarks of the old town, the coastline, the two Venetian forts, Garitsa Bay, Anemomylos, Mon Repos, the Vlacherna Monastery, Mouse Island and Corfu Airport from the Pirate Ship BLACK ROSE. The children played with pirate hats and swords and they climbed onto the ship's bridge, where they enjoyed the view of the Old Town coastline.
The Board of AHEPA CORCYRA HJ-34 warmly thanks "Vrachos" restaurant in Paleokastritsa, the captain and the crew of Yellow Submarine and the Pirate Ship BLACK ROSE for the excellent care they provided to the children and the boat tour.
