Concert in Yiannades dedicated to great Greek composers

Yiannades Cultural Society is organising a musical evening on Monday, August 5, at 9:30 p.m. in the village square.
The concert will be dedicated to the great Greek composers Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Hadjidakis, Stavros Xarchakos, Yiannis Markopoulos, Dionysis Savvopoulos and Manos Loizos.
The folk music ensemble “ODYSSEIA” will present a selection of popular songs by these esteemed composers, whose work has left an indelible mark on the musical history of our country.
This will be a musical journey starting from the neighbourhoods of Manos Hadjidakis and visiting all the Greek composers who have written the history of Greek song, both from the older and the newer generations.
During the concert, a kiosk will be set up in the square selling refreshments, drinks, beer, wine and grilled foods.
