Festival of children΄s and teenagers΄ theatre from Thimeli Theatre Workshop

The children of the Thimeli Theatre Workshop invite you to a Children's and Teenagers' Theatre Festival. The following plays will be presented:

PRESCHOOL SECTION

"The Witch Fouflihtra" - Wednesday, June 26th at 7:00 PM

A musical-theatrical performance based on the fairy tale by Eugene Trivizas.

One day, the witch Fouflihtra flew over the playground with her magic broom and sucked up all the children, the kittens, the butterflies, the ducklings, the little fish, and imprisoned them in the magic mountain. However, two fearless children decided to free them...

The song "A Beautiful Butterfly" will be performed in sign language.

CHILDREN'S SECTION A (1st-3rd Grade)

Aristophanes' "Peace" - Friday, June 28th at 6:00 PM

War is ravaging the country. An Athenian farmer, Trygaeus, goes up to Mount Olympus to ask the gods where Peace is. There, Hermes informs him that War has locked her in a dark cave. Trygaeus decides to take action…

CHILDREN'S SECTION B (4th-6th Grade)

"A Dangerous Mission" - Friday, June 28th at 7:00 PM

A circus has come to town and a group of children decides to visit it. However, an unexpected event occurs that becomes the catalyst for a grand adventure. The children must travel to the ends of the earth to find the pieces of a diamond and…

Inspired by a comic created by their classmates Ioanna and Melina, the children in the section worked in groups and, through theatrical games and improvisations, created their own play and are presenting it.

TEEN SECTION

Grimm Brothers' Fairy Tales - Saturday, June 29th at 7:30 PM

The Brothers Grimm were authors and collectors of traditional fairy tales, which they gave a literary form and adapted for children. They began collecting fairy tales around 1807 and published the first volume of tales in 1812.

The following fairy tales will be presented:

  • The Golden Key
  • Little Red Riding Hood
  • Clever Hans
  • Hansel and Gretel
  • Cinderella
