Three in hospital following road accident at Tzavros

Three people were taken to hospital following a road accident that at Tzavros at around 9:30 this morning.

According to the Traffic Police, a young man lost control of the car he was driving, crashed into some rubbish bins, and these bins, in turn, ended up hitting two elderly people who were waiting at a bus stop. Both the driver of the car and the elderly people were immediately taken to Corfu Hospital by ambulance.

The Traffic Police rushed to the scene. Initial reports suggested that the elderly people had been run over by the car, but this was not confirmed by the Traffic Police.
