Majority of town΄s public toilets now open again
CORFU. The toilets in Garitsa and Mon Repos are also open - the facilities in Mandouki and San Rocco will soon be rebuilt.
After many months, the public toilets in Upper Square are back in operation following extensive repairs by the crews from the Municipality's Everday Life and Cleaning Services, along with DEYAK's assistance, in collaboration with the Municipal Company for Social Welfare 'New Horizons'. The facilities include 3 men's toilets and 3 women's toilets.
The public toilets in the Garitsa - Anemomylos Park have been operational for a few days now.
In Garitsa, there are 2 women's toilets, 1 men's toilet, and 1 special needs toilet, while in Anemomylos, there are 1 men's, 1 women's, and 2 special needs toilets.
The toilets at Mon Repos are also open, where there are 1 men's toilet, 1 women's toilet, and 1 special needs toilet, although the latter needs improvement in accessibility.
Additionally, in Bosketo, there are 1 men's, 1 women's, and 1 special needs toilet, and in Spilia, managed by Corfu Port Authority, there are 1 men's, 1 women's, and 1 special needs toilet.
Finally, the public toilets in Mandouki and San Rocco, which are currently out of service, are scheduled to be reconstructed and reopened.
The municipality's public toilet facilities are maintained by staff from the Municipal Company for Social Welfare 'New Horizons' as part of a contractual agreement with the Municipality.
