Man, 33, arrested for possession and cultivation of cannabis

A 33-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning, 29/1 in Corfu by Drugs Squad officers, for the cultivation and possession of illegal substances.

He was located and arrested in the suburbs of the town, as in a search carried out at his home and warehouse, the following were found and confiscated:

• 114 grams of dried cannabis leaves,

• 1 cannabis plant measuring 1.2 metres,

• A small quantity of unprocessed cannabis,

• One precision electronic scale.

An investigation into the case was conducted by the Drugs Squad and the arrested man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
