The Regional Governor will be responsible for Tourism - Deputy Regional Governor, Christos Anthis, responsible for Culture

"We are all focused on moving forward swiftly with the implementation of our plan," announced the new Regional Governor, Yiannis Trepeklis, on the occasion of the announcement of the Deputy Regional Governors:

"With the announcement of the Deputy Governors and the Councillors with Portfolios, the structure of our region's administrative machinery is now complete. We are now all focused on advancing rapidly in the implementation of our plan and our commitments to our fellow citizens in the Ionian Islands. Deputy Regional Governor Christos Anthis will be responsible for the Culture sector, while I, myself, will retain the Tourism sector.

Personally, both I and my colleagues have the primary duty and obligation to respond to the strong mandate we received from our fellow citizens and to justify their expectations, for a strong and modern region with a human face.
