CORFU. This year, the Soroptimist International worldwide campaign is themed "Read the Signs" and focuses on Prevention in order to avoid domestic violence.

As part of the 16 days of activism by Soroptimist International for the Elimination of Violence against Women, starting on November 25th - recognised as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women - the Soroptimist Club of Corfu illuminated the Banknote Museum building in orange in the historic centre of Corfu Town.

Present at the lighting up, despite the bitter cold, were members and friends of Corfu Soroptimist Club, Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Deputy Mayor of European Programmes and Digital Policy, Panayiota Tzanne, as well as the museum curator, Konstantinos Christopoulos, whom we warmly thank for their immediate response and support.

This year, the Soroptimist International global campaign is themed "Read the Signs" and focuses on Prevention in order to avoid domestic violence.

Let us, then, read the signs and unite our voices in a strong message that we are here for all women - saying no to violence against women
