ATHENS. For the sub-concession of the right to construct, operate, manage, maintain and exploit the mega yacht marina in Corfu.
As the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) announced, the submission of binding bids in the tender for the sub-concession of the right to construct, operate, manage, maintain and exploit the mega yacht marina in Corfu will take place on 13 June.
According to TAIPED's announcement, a Joint Decision of the Ministers of Finance and Mercantile Marine and Island Policy has been published, which sets the fee in favour of the Corfu Port Authority (OLKE) at 2% of the annual gross revenue of the sub-concessionaire, under the general restrictions of the European Commission on state aid.
As a consequence of the abovementioned, Tuesday 13 June 2023 is set as the day for submission of binding bids.
It is worth noting that four investors have been selected for the second phase of the tender process.
The plan
The mega yacht marina, which will have 98 berths, will be located next to the cruise ship terminal. According to the plan, it will have its own entrance from the public road and its facilities will be separate from the rest of the port.
The recommended facilities to be provided include parking areas, small vessel repair facilities, pumping station and electricity sub-station, hotels, bars, shops, supermarkets, gym and tennis courts, administrative building and control tower.
