As the medical examiner Ioannis Aivatidis told Enimerosi, a sample of the bones and genetic material of a relative of the deceased will be sent to the Athens forensic lab to verify the identity.

The autopsy confirmed that it is a man of the age of Kostas Fragoulis, who had been missing since 2006.

During the investigation, apart from the human bones, a wallet was also found, which contained an id card that belonged to a 55-year-old man, who was reported missing in 2006.
The Corfu Central Port Authority that is conducting the investigation will request a DNA sample from a relative to identify the bones.
