Erimitis court case postponed for a month

ATHENS. The lawyer for the Municipality Giorgos Kaloudis said they needed more time to prepare.
The case regarding the cancellation of the planning permit for Erimitis which was due to be tried at the Council of State on Wednesday 15 February has been postponed. The new date for the case to be heard is 22 March, 2023.
The request to cancel the permission has been brought by North Corfu Municipality against the Ministers for Environment and Infrastructure - Messrs Skrekas and Karamanlis.
The lawyer for the Municipality Giorgos Kaloudis asked for the postponement saying that they needed more time to prepare due to the fact that the company New Corfu Real Estate Investments intervened on behalf of the ministers and against North Corfu Municipality six days before the date set for the case to be heard.
Central Corfu Municipal Council has decided by a majority vote to support North Corfu Municipality at the trial and, in general, to participate in any actions required to prevent building work at Erimitis.
Mr. Kaloudis said that Ms. Ydraiou's party was in the minority which voted against the proposal at the Central Corfu Municipal Council and implied that this was why she wasn't acting in line with the decision as she is required to do.
