Fire hoses placed at open-air market

A step towards upgrading the open-air market was taken today with the placement of fire hoses, which guarantee a high level of safety for businesses, workers and citizens in general.
 
The fire hoses will enhance the protection and fire safety of the area, as well as the businesses.
 
Civil Protection crews installed them today, in the presence of Deputy Mayor Haris Yiotis and Municipal Councillors Spyros Moraitis and Vassilis Melidis.
 
Present was also the Central Corfu Mayor Meropi Ydraiou who talked with citizens and businesspeople of the open-air market.
 
As the Mayor said, the Municipality will once again reconstruct the public toilets as this is the third time they have been vandalised.
 
She also announced a number of other works for the aesthetic upgrading of the area in order to make the market even more attractive for interested businesspeople and citizens.
