Remaining ΄Ballos΄ business compensation payments by next week

CORFU. The Ministerial Decision regarding the remaining compensation payments for businesses that suffered from the ΄Ballos΄ storm has been published.
Deputy Regional Governor for Corfu Kostas Zorbas announced today that the remaining compensation payments for businesses that suffered in the 'Ballos' storm pm 14 and 15 October, 2021 will be paid by next week at the latest.
"The Ministerial Decision regarding the remaining compensation payments for businesses that suffered from the ΄Ballos storm has been published. The information we have from the Ministry is that by next week at the latest the money will have been transferred into the bank accounts of those eligible."
Mr. Zorbas said that there will be a scale of payments going up to 70% for small businesses and at least 30% for very big businesses.
According to the Ministerial Decision, the payment scale will be as follows:
1. For estimated damage of up to €10,000 - 70% compensation.
2. For estimated damage of €10,001-20,000 - 50% compensation.
3. For estimated damage of €20,001 and above - 30% compensation.
For businesses that are insured the grant constitutes free state financial support calculated from the amount of estimated damage not covered by insurance.
